A Deep Dive Into Archetypes: Fire Starters

Fire Starters are creators who imagine bold alternatives and build entirely new systems rooted in care, possibility, and imagination.

Fire Starters create bold ideas, building new ones to supplant extractive, exploitative old ones. They bring wild dreams into existence, working outside existing systems, looking to build something entirely new. In our map, this includes Ventures and Pods who are making new systems to care for each other, work together, communicate, and build resilient communities. 

Fire Starters overlap with Cycle Keepers and Shadow Dwellers. Their work is tied to our community by a shared recognition of systems that fail us and the importance of thinking beyond the present. 

Fire Starters expand our ecosystem by working on the edges.  They show us what is possible through experimentation, imagination, and creating ways of being that don’t exist – but could. Fire Starters ask, “if we could build this from scratch in a better way for people and planet, what would it look like?”
