Returning to an Embodied Life

The Coralus retreat was something I deeply wanted to be a part of. I have been actively reconnecting to an embodied life, ever so slowly through first the reduction of “more” (3 years to eliminate social media, 5 years to eliminate productivity, etc.). It takes practice and determination to prevent the world from sweeping us up in distraction and disconnection.
I knew that being in a physical space with a group of aligned people would be good for the soul and help me stay on my path to authentically showing up in the world.
Hosting the retreat in my home was a special experience that I would repeat. There’s something unique about good energy, music, and safety in spaces that are comfortable, homey, and meant to be shared. I welcome future retreats and encourage the community building that in-home experiences create.
As a person who has spent the past 18 years in “planet finance,” as a dear friend calls it, unlearning has been critical to my ability to reconnect to myself.
Unlearning expectations.
Unlearning when energy is mine and when it belongs to another.
Unlearning the basic concept that our world is what we create, not what was created for us to fix.
While I am very connected through my job to the way things currently “work”, there is a tidal wave of hope and optimism out there with people who are proactively creating the systems we need for the future.
I want to be deeply embedded in that work and I see Coralus as a connection point to systems redesign.
Sometimes the unknown is exactly where we are supposed to be. Fear is a biological evolution helping us to listen to what really matters and follow that intuition. Coralus is a constant reminder to me that our intuition is our strongest asset, but our weakest muscle.
Sitting in the unknown during the Coralus reset, with real, hyper generous and loving humans reminds me of our shared intuition. When we really listen, and we collaborate lovingly, we can move mountains while helping all boats rise.
