December’s Full Moon invites us to pause in a liminal doorway: between one year and the next, between what has completed and what is still forming, and significantly, between the Coralus we have been and the Coralus we are becoming.
Patricia Garcia-Gomez, Founder, Creator, RewildRestore, offers us this ritual to help listen for the subtle signals of that becoming – the intuitions, the flirts, the whispers from the world around us. What might we release and what is ready to root? How might a practice help us meet this moment of transition and transformation?

The Ritual
1. Go outside
Take yourself into nature. It can be the sea, a forest, a park, a stream, the tree at the corner of your street. A place that inspires you or touches you in some way.
2. Say hello
Greet the place as you arrive & introduce yourself. Take some deep, luxurious breaths.
3. Listen (3–6 min)
Sit comfortably or walk slowly. Place one hand on your heart, another on your belly. Let your senses soften and receive and listen.
4. Listen.
Bring your attention to the sounds around you. Can you locate the nearest sound of water, leaves, the wind, a songbird? Stay here. Be with that. Once you have that, follow that near-by sound all the way to its farthest point. Listen as far away as you can.
5. Notice what you notice.
What other qualities can you pick up with as little mind as possible? What other qualities are there? Keep noticing…
6. Three breaths
Take 3 more breaths. Slow, unhurried.
7. Say thank you
Before Leaving
Take a moment to notice what landed. What tugged your attention? What feeling flickered through you?
Record one thing… an audio clip, a photo, a phrase, a sensation, a note in your phone, or a story that visited you while you lingered there.
It doesn’t have to make sense now. It’s a seed. Let it be a seed.
