Wolf and Hay Moon

January’s Wolf / Hay Moon centred on the tension between hunger and abundance as forces that shape each other. Held together, they reveal something more honest.
Where are we constricted?
Where are we full?
What is actually calling for our care?
In the North, the Wolf Moon carried winter energy: hunger, listening, discernment
In the South, the Hay Moon rose over summer fields: ripening, harvest, responsibility for what has grown.
The Practice

Erin Willett reflects on hunger not as desperation, but as a space of grief, shedding, and staying with the “I don’t know.”

Tammy Baart reflects on delay opening into listening, hunger into attention, abundance into what was already present.
The practice invited us to notice where we feel constriction and where we sense fullness.
Not to fix either. Not to choose one over the other.
Just to trace the thread between them.
To stay with hunger long enough to understand its shape and to recognize what is already nourishing, even if it goes unnamed.
