Cold and Strawberry Moon
December’s Full Moon gathering carried a lot at once.
It marked the end of the recommitment period.
It was the final Moon Call of the year.
And it became the first time we consciously held one full moon across two hemispheres — Cold Moon in the North, Strawberry Moon in the South.
Winter and summer. Hibernation and ripening. Release and expression.
Different seasonal realities, gathered under the same sky.
The Practice
This was also a threshold moment for Coralus itself between what has been and what is becoming. It invited us to pause in that liminal doorway between one year and the next, between completion and emergence, between the Coralus we’ve known and the Coralus we are shaping together.
From there, the gathering unfolded through story.
Erin Millar and Chenny Xia shared how their work has shifted through deeper collaboration, moving from individual effort to consortium, from pushing alone to building alongside others. Their reflections grounded the larger invitation of the moment: systems don’t change in isolation. Neither do we.
Holding the Threshold
The Cold / Strawberry Moon was a gathering at the threshold.
Between years. Between versions of Coralus. Between what has completed and what is still forming.
